Yorkshire, Cumbria, and the Lake District!
May 7th – 16th, 2024
Jillian Moreno and I, with the logistical support of Celtic Journeys, have put together a dream trip for knitters through northern England. We’ve found local teachers—Susan Crawford, Ann Kingstone, and Alice Fox; we’ve arranged visits to Hill Top Farm, where Beatrix Potter retreated to raise Herdwick sheep, and the Brontë Parsonage, home of writers Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. Zoe Fletcher of Northern Yarns will give a talk on British sheep breeds, and we’ll visit Nibthwaite Farm. A classic boat ride on Windermere Lake follows classes with Jillian and me. Plus a chance to spend time with birds of prey at Muncaster Castle. If you are interested, please read the full itinerary.
We are very excited about the range of experiences this trip encompasses—if you want to join us, here is the registration form.
