May 13th – 25th, 2025
Jillian Moreno and I, with the logistical support of Celtic Journeys, have put together a dream trip for knitters through northern England. We’ve found local teachers—Susan Crawford, Ann Kingstone, and Marie Wallin; we’ve arranged visits to Hill Top Farm, where Beatrix Potter retreated to raise Herdwick sheep, and the Brontë Parsonage, home of writers Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. Zoe Fletcher of Northern Yarns will give a talk on British sheep breeds, and we’ll visit Nibthwaite Farm. We will visit Gam Rare Breed Farm, the Wensleydale Wool Shop, and West Yorkshire Spinnery. We will enjoy the comforts of beautiful hotels and fabulous food. Plus have a chance to spend time with birds of prey at Muncaster Castle. Throughout it all we will enjoy the amazing beauty of Yorkshire, Cumbria, and the Lake District!
This trip is similar to the one we did last year, which was so much fun that we’ve expanded it by a couple of days in 2025! If you are interested, please read the full itinerary.
We are very excited about the range of experiences this trip encompasses—if you want to join us, here is the registration form. Only a few spaces remain!
